# How to update my camera firmware

You can update your camera to the latest firmware with the Leica FOTOS app.

To update the camera firmware via the Leica FOTOS app, please follow these steps:

1.  **Pair** your camera in the Leica FOTOS app
    
2.  **Disconnect** the camera within the app
    
3.  The camera will remain visible in the camera list, and a **Firmware Update** button will appear on the camera tile
    
4.  **Tap Firmware Update** and follow the on-screen instructions
    

Please note that the firmware update option only appears after the camera has been connected at least once.

Firmware-Update via App is **only supported by the following camera models**:

-   Leica Q3
    
-   Leica M11
    
-   Leica M EV1
    
-   Leica SL3
    
-   Leica D-LUX 8
    
-   Leica SOFORT 2
    
-   Leica Q2 (since Q2 Firmware 3.1, Q2 Monochrom Firmware 1.1)
    
-   Leica SL2 (since SL2 Firmware 4.0, SL2-S Firmware 3.0)
